Taco Social

Veterans Rick and Elise Wetzel, with André Vener, co-founder of Dog Haus, and John and Chris Bicos of Gus's BBQ and Magnolia House, enlisted Geared to help visually translate Taco/Social's brand positioning and personality. The brand's uniqueness begins with a historic white building, formally a 5,000-square-foot garage complete with glass roll-up doors. The open doors display a neon sign that reads "Stay Social Eagle Rock," inviting those who enjoy hanging out with the great company and great food to join the SoCal vibe.

From logo, wall menu, and package design to full website development, Geared built a polished yet casual brand with a simple color palette and clean look.

Geared also created a classic California-inspired design wall mural consisting of a taco-shaped half-circle sunset that spans the entire side of the restaurant. This visual focal point is a nod to the iconic Eagle Rock, California, Vincent Street, located next to the location. The sunset color palette, linear design, and mural artwork were later used on packaging and uniforms to convey a cohesive, fun brand style.

Overall, Geared is very proud of how the concept identity and trade dress package came together to convey a strong, marketable, unifying brand.
